Man and woman bailed after rape investigations continues

A 49-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman were arrested on Friday on suspicion of two counts of rape and have now been bailed with conditions pending further enquiries.

Police investigations into a racially aggravated rape on Tame Road, Oldbury on Tuesday, 9 September and a rape in Hurst Green Park, Halesowen on Thursday, 16 October are progressing. Specialist officers are continuing to support both victims and we are working closely with key partners.

A team of officers remains in place conducting enquires such as reviewing CCTV footage and examining forensic evidence. Increased patrols are continuing around Tame Road and Hurst Green Park.

West Midlands Police appeal to anyone with CCTV, dash-cam footage, or any information to get in touch. Information can be given by calling 101 or on Live Chat on their website quoting log 798 9 September and 4711 of 16 October.

Crimestoppers are offering a £20,000 reward for information they exclusively receive that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the attack on Tame Road.
