A Stourbridge man who was given a five-year football banning order has been found guilty of breaching it after trying to attend a match with a smoke bomb.
28-year-old Benjamin Richardson was arrested after police spotted him trying to attend a pre-season game between Stourbridge and Shrewsbury in July.
Richardson, from Pebble Close, denied the offences but was convicted at his trial and ordered to carry out 200 hours’ community service and ordered to pay £640.
He was given the banning order earlier this year after being involved up to 20 football-related incidents over a seven-year period.
