Man arrested following disorder at Crooked House at weekend

A man has been arrested and another has been voluntarily interviewed as police investigate disorder at the Crooked House last Saturday.

A man and woman were assaulted by a group of people while in the area. They got into a car but were obstructed and the car collided with a woman at the scene, who was not seriously injured.

Once they were able to drive away, the man and woman contacted South Staffordshire Police.

The woman was then taken to hospital for assessment and later discharged.

A 57-year-old man, from West Bromwich, has been arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage. and has since been released under conditional police bail while the investigation continues.

Another man, in his 40s from Sandwell, has been voluntarily interviewed about the incident.

South Staffordshire Police are still carrying out enquiries and ask anyone anyone with any information to get in touch by calling 101, or via Live Chat on their website, quoting incident 888 of 9 September.
