Man charged with murder of June Jones to appear in court

Detectives investigating the death of June Jones from Sandwell have charged her former partner with murder.

Michael Foran is to appear before Walsall Magistrates Court today, accused of killing 33-year-old Miss Jones. She was found dead at her address in Wyndmill Crescent, West Bromwich, on 31 December.

Foran, aged 32 and of no fixed address, was arrested in Liverpool on Saturday afternoon and transferred to the West Midlands for questioning. 

Keith O’Dwyer, aged 34, of Beaconview Road, West Bromwich, was charged with assisting a suspected killer on Friday 5 January and, after appearing at Walsall magistrates court, has been remanded into custody, before his next appearance at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday 10 January. Detective Inspector Warren Hines, from the force's homicide department, said:

"This is a significant step forward in our enquiries. I would like to thank the public and media for their support in this investigation and I would continue to urge anyone with information to come forward."
