A man has died after a fire in Dudley yesterday afternoon.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 5.14pm to a property on Green Park Road and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman says: “A man was found inside the property and, sadly, it quickly became clear that he could not be saved and was confirmed dead at the scene.
“There were three other patients outside the property upon arrival.
“A man was treated by ambulance staff for suspected smoke inhalation and conveyed to Russell’s Hall Hospital.
“A woman was also treated for suspected smoke inhalation but did not wish to go to hospital and so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene.
“The final patient, also a woman, was assessed by medics but did not require further treatment and was discharged at the scene.”
