West Midlands Ambulance Service were alerted to an incident yesterday after a man was attacked by an escaped water buffalo.
Crews were called to Seighford in Staffordshire where the man was knocked over by the animal, sustaining a leg injury
Armed officers from Staffordshire Police are reported to have humanely killed the animal shortly afterwards.
