Multi-award-winning comedian Mark Watson will bring his latest stand-up show, 'Before It Overtakes Us' to Stourbridge Town Hall on Friday 15 May.
Celebrating more than 20 years in stand-up, Watson returns to the stage following acclaimed appearances at major international comedy festivals including Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and the Edinburgh Fringe.
Known to many as the cheeky texting icon from Taskmaster and a familiar voice on BBC Radio 4, Watson’s latest show explores the uncertain future facing humanity — alongside topics such as the worst word he has ever said in public and the current state of the UK sausage industry.
Kelly Martin, manager at Stourbridge Town Hall, said: “Mark is one of the most distinctive and inventive comedians working today, so we’re delighted to welcome him to Stourbridge Town Hall.
"It promises to be a brilliant evening of quick-fire, intelligent comedy from a performer who always keeps audiences on their toes.”
Comedy fans can also enjoy a packed programme of live comedy across Dudley borough in the coming months, including 'An Evening with Jimmy Tarbuck' at Dudley Town Hall on 21 May, 'An Audience with Mick Miller' on Thursday 28 May and Paul Smith on Wednesday 19 August.
