Mayor helps firm celebrate relaunch of bridal boutique

An independent bridal boutique in Halesowen celebrated its 15th anniversary along with the launch of its new look with a visit from the Mayor of Dudley.

Mayor, Councillor Sue Greenaway was invited to TDR Bridal (formerly The Dressing Rooms) on Manor Way, for the launch of its rebrand, which features a new look boutique and new website.

The business, which was set up in 2007, offers a bespoke service to help brides find the dress of their dreams for their special day. With more than 400 gowns to choose from and with the expertise of staff and in-house seamstresses, all brides get a tailored experience.

The boutique is a member of Purple Tuesday, a programme created and co-ordinated by Purple, a disability organisation which encourages businesses to make changes and to improve the customer experience for individuals with disabilities.

There is disabled access, the size of changing rooms has been increased so all can accommodate wheelchair access and extra training and support has been provided for staff. All staff have also learnt sign language. Rebecca Baddeley, founder and director at TDR Bridal, said:

"I am incredibly proud to reach 15 years in business and it’s wonderful to have the Mayor join us for such a special occasion.

"TDR is constantly developing but at its heart is a team with a passion to provide brides with the best advice, support and shopping experience to help them find the dress of their dreams.

"My team work so hard and I’m so thankful to have them, they’re simply amazing!"

The visit was the latest in the Made in Dudley Borough series where senior leaders celebrate local firms who are doing great things. Dudley Business First, the council’s business arm, offers all-year-round support to business on grants, accessing finance and much more.
