Mayor personally thanks bin men for their efforts

The Mayor of Dudley thanked the borough’s bin men for their efforts during a visit to the depot this week.

Councillor Hilary Bills visited Lister Road with consort and husband John and spoke to some as they returned from their rounds.

The borough’s first citizen also visited the Blowers Green depot to meet and thank staff who undertake the fortnightly recycling collection service.

Councillor Hilary Bills, the Mayor of Dudley, said: “I wanted to visit the in person and give my own personal thanks to the people who collect our rubbish and recycling. They are out very early in the morning in all weathers, but very rarely let us down.

“When I was cabinet member in this area I went out on a round, so I know first hand how hard they all work for us. It was a pleasure to be able to speak to a few of them and reiterate how grateful I am for their continued efforts.”
