Metre high egg up for grabs in Beacon Centre raffle

Chocoholics can get their hands on a metre high Easter egg which is being raffled off to support one of the region’s oldest charities.

The extravagant egg is one of three prizes that are up for grabs in the Beacon Centre for the Blind’s Easter raffle.

Entrants are also in with a chance of winning a confectionary hamper kindly donated by the Black Country’s favourite sweet shop Teddy Grays and a £20 fruit and vegetable Easter hamper donated by Taylors Greengrocers and Florist based in Wombourne.

The annual fundraiser for the charity is taking place online due to Coronavirus restrictions, entries are just £2 each. The charity is hoping the raffle will raise much-needed funds after losing almost £700,000 in income due to Covid-19 restrictions. Supporter Engagement Manager Sophie Higgins said:

“We have got some fantastic prizes up for grabs in our Easter raffle this year. It’s always a popular fundraiser for us and we need people’s support more than ever.

“This is a great way to help us raise funds so we can continue to support people with sight loss when they need us the most.”

Tickets are available via their JustGiving page. The raffle will close at midday Tuesday 6th April and the winning numbers will be drawn at 3pm.
