
Two people remain in custody as part of Police investigations into a rape in Hurst Green Park, Halesowen on Thursday and another rape on Tame Road, Oldbury on 9 September.
A further warrant of detention has been granted for the 49-year-old man and 65-year-old woman, to allow police time to continue their enquiries.
This is in connection with the rape of a Sikh woman, an attack that the force previously described as racially motivated. Protests and vigils were sparked after the attack on the woman, aged in her 20s, in September in Oldbury in the West Midlands.
In an second incident, Police were called at around 7pm after a woman in her 30s reported she has been attacked in Hurst Green Park on Thursday evening. This incident is not being treated as racially aggravated.
Both victims are at the heart of enquiries and Police continue to have specialist officers supporting them during this traumatic time.
