An estimated 1,200 people turned out to the Dudley South jobs and skills fair at Merry Hill, organised by local MP, Mike Wood.

With jobs on offer from the likes of M&S, Lloyds Bank, the Army and Dudley Council, as well as engineering opportunities through National Infrastructure Solutions, Bradley Environmental and others, an estimated 1200 people from across the Dudley Borough flocked to Merry Hill where the event was held. Mr Wood said:

“Once again, I want to say a really big thank you to all the employers, colleges and other training providers who came along to offer vacancies to local people – and to our event sponsors, Merry Hill, for sponsoring and hosting the event.

“With hundreds of sign-ups, applications and vital connections made, it was yet another fantastic event which I hope has helped lots of local people to find the next positive step forward in their career.”

Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill added:

“We were delighted to host the Dudley South Jobs and Skills fair at Merry Hill.

“This event goes from strength to strength each year and we cherish playing our part by providing a perfect place for visitors from the local community to meet and explore opportunities with our retailers and other national and international brands.

“We support over 8,000 jobs across the centre and really back the mission to match local job seekers with their ideal position”.
