Leader of Dudley Council, Cllr Patrick Harley, unveiled his new cabinet for the coming year at the Council’s recent AGM.
Councillor Harley said: “As Leader of this Council I am proud my Cabinet and I can continue to build on the Council’s positive achievements to deliver real impact for our residents.
“Over the past 18 months this administration has had to make difficult decisions to establish strong foundations, including financial sustainability, to protect services and ensure a long-term future for this council.
“At the same time, we have put some much needed investment into key areas such as services for adults and children. This year we opened our purpose-built Pens Meadow school for SEND pupils, giving them the facilities, opportunities and education they deserve.
“While just weeks ago the Care Quality Commission rated our adult social care services ‘good,’ a testament to us delivering good services for people who need them most.
“We will be working to build on these successes in the coming year. With no overall control, we will work with other parties throughout the year and while our politics may differ, we are all here to serve our residents.
“This is a cabinet which will be delivering for Dudley.”
The same meeting saw members of the shadow cabinet appointed as well as the leads on a range of committees.
