New ‘Happier Minds’ website launches

A new mental health website has launched this week to help young people achieve ‘Happier Minds.’

The new Happier Minds website is a central hub of information with dedicated areas for school professionals, young people, parents and carers. It also provides information on how to get urgent help in a crisis.

The professional section of the website has been designed for those working with young people in schools. It provides links to information, support and classroom resources.

The section for young people is for those aged 11 and over (secondary school and college) and provides support and information as well as video resources and useful contacts.

For parents and carers, there’s useful support and information to support them in their role as a parent/carer as well as resources to support them with their own mental wellbeing.

The website has been commissioned by Dudley Council’s public health team. Councillor Ian Bevan, cabinet member for public health, said:

"In the week we mark World Mental Health Day, I’m pleased we’re launching this new website. It is a dedicated resource to help people navigate the situation they are in, whether that’s a young person reaching out for support or a parent looking at what help is out there for their child."

The site provides both local and national mental health advice and information and I hope it helps young people to be well and have Happier Minds. You can visit happierminds.org.uk for more information.
