New museum programme appeals to crafty kids

Crafty kids can enjoy a wide range of activities in Dudley museums over the coming months.

The latest Juniors at Museums programme provides a fun and creative programme of activities for children, their families and friends from January to June. Activities include Easter hunts, Dinosaur egg hunts, geology talks, glass themed sessions and much more.

Most activities are free of charge, including enjoyable trails and the regular Sticky Saturdays, other activities incur a small charge.

To find out a full list of activities scheduled until the end of June download a copy of the Juniors at Museums leaflet, by searching Juniors at Museums at dudley.gov.uk. Cllr Ian Kettle, cabinet member for planning and economic development said:

"There are so many things to enjoy at our museums and these wonderful activities help children to learn new skills and gain confidence. As always our Sticky Saturdays are also offering free messy and craft filled play for children to enjoy with their parents."

Activities take place at the Red House Glass Cone and Dudley Museum at the Archives. Pre-booking activities is advised as sessions are popular.

People can download the full programme from the Dudley Council website - copies are also available from Dudley Council Plus, Dudley borough libraries and Dudley attractions.
