Night of fun to raise cash for Mayor's charities

A go-karting and laser tag night of fun is being held in Coseley next month to raise cash for the Mayor of Dudley’s charities.

The event is being put on at Cannon Raceway on Friday November 2 at 6.30pm. It costs £40 to take part in both events at the site on Cannon Business Park in Gough Road. All monies raised will go to the three charities nominated by the Mayor, Councillor Alan Taylor, as beneficiaries during his year in office.

They are Headway Black Country, which supports people and family members suffering with brain injuries; White House Cancer Support; and the Hope Centre, Halesowen, a support service to help people suffering with poverty and loneliness. Councillor Alan Taylor, the Mayor of Dudley, said:

"This will be a fun event for people of all ages – why not get a group together among your friends or work-mates and see who is the fastest around the track or the quickest on the draw?

"The money raised will go to three very worthy charities, so I hope people will support it and book up to come along."

To book places, contact Cannon Raceway by calling (01902) 507373 or by email.
