Oldbury climber killed in mountain fall

An Oldbury man’s died after falling off a mountain in Snowdonia.

35 year-old Kenneth Hands, aged 35, was killed when he fell while descending the narrow Crib Goch ridge at about 11am on Saturday.

The Mountain Rescue Team said Mr Hands fell off the ridge after heavy snow had forced him and two friends back.

An inquest will be held in future, but a date has not been confirmed.
