An Oldbury man’s been jailed for 13-and-a-half years after being found guilty of a series of offences including rape and assault.

Wolverhampton Crown Court was told how 38 year-old Marewan Faraj behaved in a 'brutal' way.

The jury heard how Faraj raped the same woman on two separate occasions and struck a child with a metal rod after losing his temper. He also carried out a savage, unprovoked attack on his partner in a car wash business.

Faraj, of Ashes Road, had denied two rape charges, two assaults and a charge of cruelty, but was convicted at the end of his two trials.
