Local people from across the Dudley South constituency turned out to get information and advice from various organsations at an event set up by local MP Mike Wood.
Held at Wordsley Community Centre and sponsored by Waldrons Solicitors, the event was designed as an opportunity for older residents to get face-to-face information and advice from a range of organisations.
Connecting with residents on the day included Citizens Advice, Stiltz Homelifts and Dudley Telecare, social groups such as Gentle Exercise, Knit & Knatter and Wordsley Men’s Leisure. Mike said:
“I want to give a big thank you to all the organisations who came along to give information and advice today – I was so pleased to hear lots of residents saying they found the event really useful.
“Many in the older generations haven’t grown up with the internet and computers in the same way that younger generations have, therefore many often still rely on face-to-face discussions with organisations and service providers. That's why I run this Fair.
“Once again, I am incredibly grateful to Janet Blakeway and the team at Wordsley Community Centre for hosting us for another year.”
