Dudley South MP Mike Wood is once again bringing a range of organistions together to provide information and advice for local older people.

Taking place on Friday 23rd June between 10am and 1pm at Wordsley Community Centre, more than 25 organisations have signed up to attend.

These include South Staffs Water, West Midlands Police, West Midlands Fire Service, Wiltshire Farm Foods, Dudley Council and Dudley Carers Hub as well as a whole range of local social groups who are looking to welcome new members.

Lloyds Bank will also be in attendance and running two Scam Awareness sessions starting at 10:30am and 11:30am.

The sessions will give participants advice on what to look out for and how to protect themselves against fraud.

Local Police will also be on hand to take enquiries and give advice on how residents can protect their homes from crime. Mike said:

“I am really pleased to bring my Older People’s Information Fair back for another year – giving older residents an opportunity to speak face-to-face with many of the organisations who they often need advice from.

“I’m also grateful to Waldrons Solicitors for sponsoring the event – meaning it is once again completely free to attend and complimentary refreshments will be available on the day.

“All are welcome for what I hope to be a useful and enjoyable event.”

Free parking will be available at Wordsley Community Centre, Wordsley Green and at the former Mere Education centre on Lawnswood Road.
