Ozzy Osbourne AI avatar to come to Brum

Sharon Osbourne has said the avatar is 'extremely detailed'.

A new AI avatar of Ozzy Osbourne is under development and could greet fans for the very first time in the West Midlands.

Announced last week at an event in the US, Sharon and Jack suggested the hyper-realistic version of the Black Sabbath frontman could be used to perform, speak and move.

Speaking to the BBC, Sharon said: "I've seen the tests that they've done of Ozzy and you can see every pore on his face, his beard's coming through, it's that detailed.

"You can ask him anything you want and he'll talk to you."

Two companies, Hyperreal and Proto Hologram, are working on the technology which will appear in America and the UK by the end of the summer, with Sharon hopeful Birmingham will be its first stop.

Speaking to the BBC, she added: "Grief is a very weird thing and I truly believe it never leaves you, you just have to learn to live with it.

"It's been incredible the outpouring of love for Ozzy."
