Brummies can pay their last respects to the Prince of Darkness as his funeral cortege travels through his home city of Birmingham.

The procession, which will include the Black Sabbath singer's coffin and his family, will travel along Broad Street at 1pm tomorrow before making a stop at Black Sabbath Bridge where thousands of tributes have been laid.

Local musicians, Bostin' Brass will accompany the procession which the Lord Mayor of Birmingham has called a 'fitting, dignified tribute' ahead of his funeral.

Ozzy died on 22nd July, less than three weeks after he headlined Sabbath's farewell gig, 'Back to the Beginning' which played to over 40,000 fans at Villa Park. Dozens of musicians including Metallica also performed.

Fans from around the world have since travelled to Birmingham to add to a sea of tributes which have also been placed at sites including the Black Sabbath mural on Navigation Street and The Crown pub, where Black Sabbath played their first gig.

Broad Street will be closed to traffic from 7am on Wednesday with trams and buses diverted throughout the day and will reopen as soon as possible after the event.
