Pedestrian dies in Stourbridge collision

A man’s died after he was hit by a car in Stourbridge.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the collision, which happened on Brettell Lane in Amblecote shortly before 7:00pm last night (Sunday).

Emergency crews attended the scene and tried to revive the victim.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The man, a pedestrian, had suffered serious injuries. Despite their best efforts, the ambulance crews couldn’t save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”

Police have appealed for witnesses.
