A person has died after being struck by a train at Stourbridge Junction station this morning.

Services running through the station were suspended while ambulance crews and West Midlands Police attended the scene. A spokesman for British Transport Police said:

"Officers were called to Stourbridge Junction station at 11.11am this morning following reports a person had been struck by a train. Paramedics were also in attendance and sadly a person was pronounced dead.

"Officers are working to identify the person and inform their family."
