Places confirmed for 2023 primary school starters

Dudley Council has confirmed that 91 per cent of children due to start primary school in the borough this September have been offered a space at their first preference.

Parents and carers from across the borough have been receiving details of their child’s allocated school this morning, with more than 97 per cent gaining a place at one of their top three preferences. Martyn Palfreyman, head of educational outcomes, said:

"We are pleased to be able to offer most children a place at their preferred school with over 91 per cent of families getting their first choice and 97 per cent getting one of their top three preferences.

"We continue to work with schools as they prepare to welcome their new intake in September, and we wish all our new pupils the very best as they embark on their school journey."
