Police appeal to catch Wollescote burglars

Police are appealing for help to trace four suspected burglars following a break-in on Oakfield Road in the Wollescote area of Stourbridge last month.

The suspects climbed over a neighbour’s fence and snapped a rear UPVC lock to gain access to the house around 4am on 18 December.

Police believe they were looking for keys to a car parked on the drive, but instead they walked away with a couple of gift cards and £4 cash. DC Darren Barnes, who is investigating, said:

“The people responsible have shown a complete disregard for the victim. Not only breaking into his property, but by making a rude gesture to the camera. The value of what was taken may be relatively small, but this group could strike again so I am determined to catch them."

If you have information that you think may be useful please contact DC Barnes on 101, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Please quote crime number 20DY/272504J/17.
