Officers were called by a member of the public, to a location behind George Avenue, Rowley Regis shortly after midnight to reports of a man’s body being discovered.

The 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and a cordon remained in place whilst house to house enquires continued. Detective Inspector Caroline Corfield from Force CID, said:

“At this stage it is unclear how this man came to receive these injuries and we are working tirelessly to establish the tragic circumstances around his death. 

“I would ask anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious to get in touch with me personally as soon as they can, quoting log number 46 of 18th November."
