Police launch witness appeal after Brierley Hill collision

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following an accident earlier this week in which a pensioner was hit by a lorry in Brierley Hill.

They've asked for anyone who saw what happened to come forward unless they’ve already spoken to officers.

The 70-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious head and chest injuries after the collision in Hurst Lane on Wednesday morning.

The pensioner, who hasn’t been named, is said to be in a stable condition, while detectives say the lorry driver is co-operating with the investigation.
