Police in Sandwell have arrested a man on suspicion of murder after the bodies of two people were found in Oldbury.
Officers were called to the address in Moat Road following concerns for the welfare of the people living there.
When they forced their way in at around 4am, they found a man and a woman aged 54 and 52 respectively. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
At around 5.30am, a 25-year-old man at an address in Smethwick was arrested on suspicion of two murders. He remains in custody.
Initial investigations have lead police to believe that this is a domestic-related incident, with no threat to the wider community.
The victims’ family is being supported at this tragic time.
