Poll Cards Set To Land On Dudley Borough Doormats

Poll cards will be landing on doormats of homes across Dudley borough ahead of next month’s general election.

People will be going to the polls to vote in the general election on June 8th. 

Dudley Council is currently delivering poll cards informing residents of polling station locations and all homes should have them by Sunday May 14th. Sarah Norman, chief executive and elections returning officer, said:

“I would urge people to make sure they are registered to vote if they want to have their say in the general election next month.

There are lots of ways you can find out more information and our staff are only too happy to help.”

The registration date for this election is Monday 22nd May, residents can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote or contact the local electoral registration office on 01384 814740.

If anyone is unable to get to a polling station on June 8th they can apply to vote by post or can appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf. Deadline for receipt of postal vote applications is 5pm on Tuesday 23rd May. Deadline for receipt of proxy appointments is 5pm on Wednesday 31st May.

All applications to register, or returned postal or proxy forms should be sent to Electoral Services, Old Crown Court, Priory Street, Dudley, DY1 1EY.

Residents can get an application for a postal or proxy vote by contacting the local electoral registration office on 01384 814740 or from yourvotematters.co.uk People can also ring the same number if they have not received their poll card. For more information on voting visit dudley.gov.uk.
