Residents in the north of the borough will benefit from more pop-up tip sessions, following Dudley Council’s announcement that it is investing an additional £150,000 to improve waste services.
The extra funding doubles the previous provision, with pop-up tips now taking place four times each month.
The service alternating between the Lister Road depot in Dudley and the Northway Depot in Sedgley on the first four Saturdays of every month.
The upcoming dates for Lister Road Depot in Dudley are 1 and 15 August, 5 and 19 September, 3 and 17 October, 7 and 21 November and 5 December.
Dates for Northway Depot in Sedgley are 25 July, 8 and 22 August, 12 and 26 September, 10 and 24 October, 14 and 28 November and 12 December.
Details of collections over the Christmas and New Year period will be released late in the year.
Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “We know how popular pop-up tips are with residents and this additional investment means we can provide more opportunities for people in the north of the borough to dispose of their household waste conveniently and responsibly.
“By increasing the number of sessions available, we’re making it easier for residents to access the service while helping to keep our communities clean and tidy.
“As demand remains high, I would also encourage anyone who can no longer make their booked slot to cancel it, so that space can be made available for other residents.”
All visits must be booked in advance. Residents can reserve a slot by visiting the Dudley Council website.
