Poppy Appeal in Brierley Hill seeks volunteers

The Royal British Legion and Brierley Hill Community Forum are appealing for Poppy Appeal volunteers after last year’s effort raised over £5,000.

The team are looking for people to support staffing a stall in ASDA in the town centre between 29th October and 12th November. Community Forum chair, Tim Sunter said:

"Last year over £5000 was raised at ASDA - a tremendous return."

"There are two sessions each day: 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm, so if you could help by covering just one, or even more, sessions that would be just brilliant!

"Helpers are free to take work, a book to read with you for the quieter moments, and some even take promotional leaflets for their own organisation.

“Everyone who helped last year said what a lovely time they had and how generous the public were in their support."

The stall is set up ready each morning, and there will also be assistance to help put it away and take the collecting can each evening.

If you are interested in supporting then please contact by email.
