Popular Dudley play week returns for 2017

There are free games, sports and craft activities galore for children to enjoy this summer as the popular Dudley play week returns.

Returning for a ninth year, the popular event organised by Dudley Council, will return on Monday July 31 and run through to Friday August 4.

During the week there will be group games, sports, camp fires, den building, climbing wall, crafts, road awareness, a baby zone, sumo wrestling, assault courses, skittles, tug of war, glass painting and stalls. Most of the activities on offer are free of charge.

Last year’s play week was extremely successful with more 5,000 people attending over five days.

This year’s events will be at Huntingtree Park, Halesowen on Monday July 31; Silver Jubilee Park, Coseley on Tuesday August 1; Mary Steven’s Park, Stourbridge on Wednesday August 2; Priory Park on Thursday August 3 and The Dell Stadium and Fens Pool on Friday August 4.

Activities take place daily from 12 to 4pm. Children attending must be registered on arrival at the registration tent and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
