Prime Minster commends Christmas cards designed by local school children

Dudley South MP, Mike Wood shows the cards to Prime Minster, Rishi Sunak

The Prime Minister has commended local school children from Dudley South for their efforts and artistic talents put on show by their local MPs Christmas card.

After being shown a copy of Mike Wood’s Christmas card, Mr Sunak asked the MP to pass on a “big well done” to the finalists and all those who entered.

The card features artwork from eight lucky winners who entered the Christmas card competition which saw more than 1,000 entries from across Wordsley, Kingswinford, Wall Heath, Brierley Hill, Brockmoor, Pensnett and Netherton. Mike said:

“Our local children have got so much artistic talent and I really do love being able to share this with my colleagues in Westminster whenever I can.

“The Prime Minster was really impressed by the eight winning designs and asked me to pass on a big well done to the winners and all those who entered.”

As well as making it onto the MP’s Christmas card which is sent out to Mr Wood’s contacts across Dudley, the West Midlands and even to the King himself in London – the 8 winning designs are also being displayed on digital screens at Merry Hill over the Christmas period.
