Punk legend to visit Stourbridge

One of the UK’s original punk rock singers is to perform his first ever gig in Stourbridge.

Former front man with ‘The Adverts’, TV Smith’s musical career has spanned almost 40 years and the punk legend will be appearing at Katie Fitzgerald’s on Friday (April 15).

During his time with the band, he enjoyed chart success in the late 1970s with hits including ‘Gary Gilmore’s Eyes’, ‘Bored Teenagers’, ‘One Chord Wonders’ and ‘No Time To Be 21’.

Following their split in 1979, he went on to front two other bands – TV Smith’s Explorers and Cheap – before establishing himself as a solo artist.
