The Red House Glass Cone has once again achieved the prestigious Gold Standard following its latest Visit England assessment.
Conducted on 10 July, the site continued to meet the criteria for an accredited visitor attraction under the national scheme.
With an overall score of 92%, up from 91% in 2024, the assessment praises the site's continued excellence across a range of categories.
The report highly commended the welcoming atmosphere created by staff in the Visitor Centre, the new interpretation panels, the diverse range of glass on display and the impressive site restoration.
Other highlights included the excellent range of merchandise in the gift shop, the addition of new exhibition areas and the friendliness and enthusiasm from the Craft Studio tenants.
Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all the staff, crafters, tenants, and volunteers whose passion and hard work continue to uphold the Red House Glass Cone’s reputation as a top-tier visitor destination.
“This is a fantastic result off the back of a lot of hard work and investment at the site including the impressive restoration and I am immensely proud of all that we continue to achieve there.”
