Restaurant will serve free Christmas dinner to the homeless

A Dudley restaurant will serve free dinners to the homeless this Christmas.

Caribbean outlet, 'Dee's Soulfood', based in Wolverhampton Street will open its doors on Christmas Day to offer a three-course meal to those in need.

Dwayne Millwood and his partner Melanie Stephens, who own the restaurant, came up with the idea and will serve a Christmas meal with a Caribbean twist. This will be followed by a dessert and drinks.

Mr Millwood said that the goodwill gesture has received a lot of support, with people keen to donate towards the cost of the meal as well as offers to help serving and cleaning up.

Anyone who wishes to help or donate to the festive event can call the restaurant on 01384 910656.
