Road repair works completed on busy Kingswinford route

Road users have welcomed the reopening of Stallings Lane, after a significant water leak left a part of the road unstable.

Dudley Council undertook critical works between the junctions of Hinsford Close and Second Avenue to get the road reopened for use as quickly as possibly

The work involved locating the unidentified leak and repairing extensive highway damage that had been caused as a result. Councillor Shaz Saleem, cabinet member for public realm, said:

"I want to extend my sincere thanks to the many road users who’ve been so patient while critical investigations were undertaken.

"Our dedicated team of engineers at Dudley Council have gone above and beyond to get these works sorted quickly and in the interests of our residents.

"Dudley Council continues to remind utility companies of their responsibility to safely deliver works on time and those who fail to meet their obligations should be warned that we will issue financial penalties where necessary."
