Rogue trader handed hefty court bill

A rogue trader who carried out shoddy work for a Wordsley resident has landed a court bill of more than £4,000.

Carl Roberts of Ireton Road in Wolverhampton, who traded as Regency Drives, also misled customers by claiming that he’d recently done work for Sandwell Council.

The court heard how Roberts was paid to lay a drive at a house in Wordsley, but never returned to complete the job.

He pleaded guilty to three offences at Dudley magistrates Court
