The Winter Wonderland grotto is officially open at Dudley Zoo after panto stars, Su Pollard and Jeffrey Holland, launched the Christmas festivities.
The Hi-de-Hi celebs, who are starring in this year’s pantomime at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, took time out of rehearsals for Dick Whittington to visit the zoo and meet Santa and his reindeer. Dudley Zoo Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said:
“Santa’s elves have been busy over the last few weeks transforming the 11th century castle in the heart of the zoo, into our gingerbread themed grotto and we were delighted to have Su and Jeffrey visit to open it.
“Jeffrey was telling us how he visited the zoo growing up and Su was really interested in hearing about the zoo’s work and the history of the castle. We’re really pleased to once again be panto partners and we can’t wait to see them both in the show.”
Santa’s grotto is open every day until Christmas Eve. To book, you can call 01384 215306 or dudleyzoo.org.uk.
