Scrutiny spotlight on improving communities

People from across Dudley borough are being invited to help shape a bright future for their communities at a special meeting.

People are being invited to the overview and scrutiny management board to discuss ideas, highlight areas of work and comment on proposals for a joint approach to building stronger and safer communities. The meeting will be chaired by Councillor Tim Crumpton. Councillor Gaye Partridge, cabinet member for communities, said:

"Building stronger communities is everyone’s responsibility - but central to that is people and how they can steer this work in the right directions. We recently helped launch the Borough Vision which looks at making Dudley borough home to warm welcomes and close knit communities.

"I hope people will join us at the scrutiny committee to share their ideas about how communities should look in the future and how we can all work to achieve that.”

The overview and scrutiny management board meeting takes place on February 19th at Dudley College's Broadway campus, from 10am. A report will be prepared for the council’s cabinet later in the year.

Anyone who is interested in attending can contact the council on 01384 815238 or by e-mail. Information about the meeting can also be accessed online.
