Selected borough libraries are now open for browsing

Six of the borough’s main libraries are now open for browsing, between Monday and Saturday, from 10am – 3pm.

Brierley Hill, Dudley, Halesowen, Kingswinford, Sedgley and Stourbridge libraries re-opened with revised hours in July, initially offering a library takeaway service. These six libraries are now open for people to browse and make their own selections. Books can be returned to any of these six libraries.

Safe social distancing must be maintained and face coverings should be worn.

There’s still time for youngsters to register for the version of the ever popular summer reading challenge, and now they can also call in and pick up a book. Children can join the Silly Squad on a new adventure by setting their own personal reading challenge to complete this summer.

The online platform helps them keep track of their books, reviews and the rewards unlocked along the way. Looks for 'summer reading challenge' online.

Not all services are available, so residents are advised to check that the services they need are available before setting out. You can also download ebooks and e-audio books with their Dudley Library card following links from the council website.
