Stars to turn out for Duncan Edwards charity gala

Big names from the world of football have been added to a star-studded gala in honour of Dudley’s Duncan Edwards.

The Duncan Edwards Charity Gala will be held at Brierley Hill Civic Hall on 1 October, on what would have been Duncan's 80th birthday.

Special guests include former Manchester United Captain Bryan Robson and the youngest ever player to score a senior goal for Man.United, Norman Whiteside.

Edwards was a gifted footballer whose career was cut short by the 1958 Munich air crash in which 23 people died.  Duncan was critically injured in the crash and died in hospital 15 days after the incident.
