Police in Sandwell recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested a suspected thief in Tipton yesterday morning.
Officers spotted a BMW without number plates which then made off from officers.
The vehicle was found abandoned in Anderson Road at just before 1.30am and with the help of a police dog the area was searched.
It led officers to a suspect in an adjacent street and a 19-year-old man was detained on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. He remains in custody for questioning.
