Stourbridge Holocaust hero to be commemorated with tree planting

A Stourbridge hero who saved tens of thousands of Jewish people from the Holocaust is to be honoured with a tree planting in Mary Stevens Park.

Major Frank Foley took huge risks to save thousands of people from the Nazi concentration camps. He was accorded the status “Righteous among the Nations” at the International Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem.

The Mayor of Dudley, and Council Leader Pete Lowe will take part in the ceremony, along with members of Major Foley’s family, on Saturday, the 30th of January.
