Stourbridge pub reopens with sports focus

The Gigmill pub in Stourbridge reopened last week under Marston's new sports concept with new market-leading big screen technology, menus, and events.

The venue invited local sporting hero, Steve Bull, to pull the first pint to mark their re-opening and plans to work with him in the near future as a guest speaker for upcoming events.

The Gigmill has been decorated with local sports memorabilia and is on the hunt for photographs and merchandise, giving pub-goers the chance to fill the walls and celebrate the achievements of local sports stars and teams, past and present.

The new Grandstand concept has been introduced after research revealed that 8.5 million consumers have watched sports games at the pub, citing a livelier atmosphere, better screens, sound, and connecting with friends and family as the main driver.

Pub Partners, Daniel and Rachel Doherty, said: “We’ve loved welcoming the community back with open arms!

"The response has been fantastic to our food and drink offers, as well as the new technology to watch all kinds of sports - we’re thankful that our pub is always full of good vibes, and real community spirit.”
