Bedding plants across Dudley borough are bursting into colour, after Dudley Council reinstated its bedding plants programme earlier this year.
Beds or planters are now in place at several locations including Stevens Park, Quarry Bank, Mary Stevens Park, Stourbridge, Stevens Park, Wollescote, Himley Park, Coronation Gardens, and Pensnett High Street.
Wildflower seeds planted have also been planted around the borough, with a mix of annual, biannual and perennial flowers now coming into flower and attracting pollinating insects. Areas include Sedgley Bullring, Milking Bank island, Street island, Mary Stevens Park tea gardens and the beds at the front of the hall at Stevens Park, Wollescote.
Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for neighbourhoods, said: “With the sunny weather arriving over the last few weeks, we have really seen our beds and planters come into bloom.
“I am particularly pleased to see some of the wildflowers starting to come up, we know these are popular with our residents and offer huge benefits to local wildlife. “
