Halesowen is to host a summer singing day for primary school children.

Shenstone Music's 'Whatever The Weather' will focus on songs about the British climate, including Walking on Sunshine and Little April Shower.

It will be held at Hasbury Christian Fellowship in Albert Road, on Thursday August 11th from 10am until 3.30pm. Children can be dropped off from 9am and the day finishes with a performance for parents at 3pm.

A further singing day is planned for Wednesday, August 17 with a Disney theme. Margaret Jones said:

"I set up Shenstone Music in 2015, starting an adult singing group aimed at giving people the opportunity to sing for pleasure and well being, meeting others but without the pressure of performance.

"This group, Shenstone Singers, meets on a Friday morning at Zion Christian Centre from 10 until 12 throughout the year, and always welcomes new members."
