Teenager seriously injured in Wolverhampton E-scooter collision

A teenage boy has received trauma care from ambulance staff after being involved in a collision whilst riding an e-scooter in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Ambulance Service received several 999 calls to Willenhall Road, Wolverhampton at 2.53pm to reports of a teenager who had been injured whilst riding an e-scooter after a collision with a lamppost.

An ambulance, paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor responded to the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Ambulance staff arrived within three minutes of the 999 calls being made to find a teenage boy in a serious condition.

“The team worked together to assess the boy’s injuries and administered advanced trauma care to stabilise his condition before he was conveyed, using blue lights and sirens, to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency care.”
