Police in Halesowen have arrested multiple teenagers following large-scale disorder in the town centre.

Officers were called to High Street shortly before 12.30pm, today (18 July) to reports of a large group of teenagers fighting.

Following a quick response, two teenagers aged 15 and 16-years-old have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

A force spokesperson said: "A dispersal order has been put in place in Halesowen town centre, which gives officers extra policing powers which will allow us to disperse anyone engaging in anti-social behaviour and causing a public nuisance.

"We are in the early stages of our investigation, and a large police presence remains in the area while we work to establish exactly what’s happened.

"We would ask anyone who was in the area at the time, has any CCTV or mobile phone footage to get in touch on 101 quoting incident number 2060 of 18 July.

"Alternatively, you can make an anonymous report to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
